I do a great deal of portraiture of both people and animals. It is very gratifying for me to have an art patron commission me to do a portrait of their beloved furry family members! I call them "fur people"! They all have distinct "purrsonalities" and wonderful characteristics. Even though I may paint two animals of the same breed, they have totally different facial personalities.
These are a few of the "fur children" I have been fortunate to have painted for their "parents"!
Working from photographs is typically how I complete each piece. After all, you parents will capture more of your "children's" real personality than anyone else! These paintings make great gifts, which is why I don't have that many on file at this moment, as they are usually needed last week!!
